Hardware/Software Requirements: ADOxx v1.5 Platform for Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8

The following table specify the detailed hardware/software requirement to get the ADOxx v1.5 platform up and running on your system. Please consider that we focus only on the platform itself, database management system specific requirements can be found for the respective version on the websites of the Microsoft Developer Network.

Hardware Requirements (ADOxx)
Processor Pentium 4 or equivalent processor (or higher)
Speed At least 1,8 GHz (higher recommended)
RAM At least 1 GB (more recommended)
Hard disk capacity Approx. 400 MB for the installation of ADOxx
At least 40 MB for every new (empty) ADOxx database (depends on the DBMS)
Plus approx. 400–700 MB for every 1,000 models in a database
Screen resolution At least 1024 x 768 (1280 x 960 or higher recommended)
Colour depth At least 65,536 colours / 16-bit (16 million colours / 32-bit recommended)
Note: ADOxx is a 32-bit Windows application. ADOxx can be executed on 32-bit as well as on 64-bit Windows.

Note: We recommend using case-sensitive collation for the database used by ADOxx.
Windows Vista Home Basic/Premium, Windows 7 Home Basic/Premium and Windows 8 (basic edition) do not support Single Sign-on functionality (in laboratory installations)!
