Hallo!

I just wanted to install ADOxx to try it out, but I realized that ADOxx can only be installed on a Windows operating system. However, I am using the Ubuntu 16.04 operating system. Does anyone know if it is possible for me to install ADOxx anyway?

In case you are not using a Microsoft Windows operating system and want to install ADOxx, you can use a virtual Microsoft Windows environment on your PC:

1.Virtualization Environment Installation on the host operating system

In the first step you need to install a Virtualization Environment on the host operating system of your PC. There are different providers of virtualization software for several operating systems. An example of such virtualization software is VirtualBox (Oracle).

2.Installation of Microsoft Windows as a guest operating system
After installing the virtualization software, you need to install Microsoft Windows as a guest operating system on the virtualization platform.

3.Standard ADOxx installation
After completing the previous steps you just need to install ADOxx on the Microsoft Windows guest operating system. For this purpose you have to follow the standard ADOxx installation procedure: ADOxx 1.5: New Installation Guide

Furthermore, you can take a look at the example Installation of ADOxx on a Macintosh operating system using the VirtualBox virtualization software. The procedure is similar for other operating systems.
